In Iowa, Politicians Protect the Meat Industry

by Making Animal Rights Activists Criminals

The animal agriculture industry depends on preventing consumers from seeing what the production of their food really looks like. Accordingly, the industry has pushed to criminalize undercover investigations through "ag-gag" laws that target activists and impose heavy criminal penalties. This short documentary tells the story of one undercover investigator whose footage is at the center of Iowa’s ag-gag backlash.
